Sarina Larson is a 3L and Law Review member. Throughout law school she has interned or externed at places such as the Nashville Defenders; the ACLU of Mississippi; the Cornell Law School Movement Lawyering Clinic; at Stanley L Cohen & Associates as a National Lawyers Guild Haywood Burns Fellow; and for the Trial Unit Office of the Federal Public Defender for the Middle District of Tennessee. She hopes to become a public defender and then transition to private criminal defense practice, focusing on representing disenfranchised persons and activists. The areas she researches and writes on most include but are not limited to the First Amendment; the Second Amendment; mass incarceration; the criminal legal system; international law; and social justice movements. She plans to take the bar exam in Tennessee, and potentially in Mississippi and/or Georgia.
