Author: Jaime Weida

Jaime is a third-year law student from Dickinson, Texas, and she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2014. Before law school, Jaime was a probation officer for the 81st & 218th Judicial Districts. She spent two summers clerking at Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, LLP in Jackson, Mississippi, and Balch & Bingham, LLP in Gulfport, Mississippi. Jaime serves as a federal judicial extern in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. She is President of the Law Student Bar Association, a member of the Moot Court Board, the Black Law Students Association, and the Women’s Student Bar Association. In addition, Jaime is a teaching assistant for Associate Dean Deborah Challener, a Writing Fellow for Professor Kate Morgan, and a teaching assistant & research assistant for Professor Christoph Henkel. During her 2L year, she was a Writing Fellow for Professor Ann Jones and a Research Fellow for Dean Mary Miller. Outside of law school, Jaime serves on the Word of Life – Highland Colony Campus praise team. Jaime has many roles in life, but her most cherished role is being the mother of two bright children!
