Author: Hunter Ransom

Hunter is a 3L from Brandon, Mississippi, and the Law Review's Articles Editor. Hunter earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The University of Mississippi in 2019. He is a Hearin Scholar, recipient of the Rankin County Bar Scholarship, and his Law Review Article was selected for publication Volume 40. Other than Law Review, Hunter is a Pupil of the Charles Clark Inn of Court, a member of the Moot Court Board, a senator on the Law Student Bar Association, and past President of MC Law's Chapter of the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association. While In law school, Hunter has competed on several appellate moot court competitions and worked as a Writing Fellow for Professor David Parker, Legal Extern for the Solicitor General and Civil Litigation Divisions of the Mississippi Attorney General's Office, a Summer Associate at Phelps Dunbar LLP, and a Judicial Extern to Justice T. Kenneth Griffis of the Mississippi Supreme Court. After graduation, Hunter will begin a federal clerkship in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. Outside of law school, Hunter serves on the membership committee of the Phoenix Club of Jackson.
